Irene Dickson

After graduating with a first, BA Hons in Design and Illustration from Glasgow School of Art, I was quite happy working away designing and illustrating all sorts of things from corporate identity, marketing and websites to interior graphics and stained glass, even wedding stationery – but what I had really always wanted to do was children’s book illustration.

So now, here I am with my recently gained MA from Cambridge School of Art in that very subject, and I am busy writing and making pictures for children’s books.

I use a combination of pencil, crayon, texture and print techniques with a little digital know-how thrown in.

I live in the beautiful rural countryside of Herefordshire with my husband, our youngest son (the other two having flown the nest for now) and one very old cat called Tails.
